Anglian Branch Committee
New Committee members and ideas for the annual programme required
Volunteers are needed to step forward and join the Anglian Branch Committee. The Branch was set up about three years ago and has organised busy annual programmes since then. Although there has been some movement within the Committee, new members are needed to ensure the long term viability of the Branch. The current Chairman will step down next year. The current Secretary needs to step back from that role in the short term because compilation of the next programme will clash with other activities. So please respond to this email if you are able to join the Committee.
The Branch has held an AGM every year since formation and the next one will be at Anglesey Abbey on 21st March 2013.
The main task for the Committee is to arrange an annual programme of events. Even if you are unable to join the Committee, any ideas for that will be most welcome. And the time to start thinking about potential events is now, so that a draft programme is in place in January. It has been decided that a smaller programme of about four events will be more realistic. Ideally, events should attract those who are working as well as those enjoying retirement; so weekend activities should be considered. We also welcome suggestions regarding potential joint activities and liaisons with other organisations.
If you read this on the website but have not supplied the RIN with an email address, please do so because email is the prime method of communication within the Anglian Branch.
