Map-reading leads to divorce

A businessman's wife divorced him after they argued over her map-reading during a holiday in France.

It transpires that the 60-year-old and his wife, 51, argued after getting lost in France on country roads during a wine tasting tour in Burgundy in August 2011.

The wife, a company director, was in charge of reading the map for her husband, a property investor, who was driving. But they had to pull over after losing their way and argued over her map-reading skills - and this led to their divorce.

And, within the past few days, the businessman has failed in a legal bid to overturn the divorce - the judge said he has similar rows with his own wife over map-reading.

So perhaps couples should beware of criticising each others' map-reading ability . . it could lead to that last argument . .
