SIGS & Branches

Members of the RIN can choose to become involved in its work or simply enjoy a range of events and networking privileges by becoming a member of our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) or Branches.

Any member who lives in an area where the RIN has a regional Branch automatically becomes a member of that Branch when they join the Institute.

Members can also choose which types of navigation information, events and debates they are most interested in, and join the appropriate SIGs.

SIGs

The RIN operates ten SIGs, covering areas as diverse as the navigation abilities of animals and the use of modern satellite navigation systems. Find out more about each group, and register your interest in the SIGs that appeal to you. See the SIGS page for more details.

Branches

The RIN has regional Branches in some of Britain's navigation hotspots, as well as some in Europe. See if there's one where you live. If not, and you think there should be, or would be prepared to start one, let us know. You can view the current branches on the Branches page.
