An evening lecture

The shipping industry supports the development of a comprehensive strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the objective of decarbonising shipping completely will result in the most profound changes to the shipping industry since sail gave way to steam. This presentation will consider challenges facing the industry and some of the possible technology solutions and pathways from a ship owner's perspective.

Speaker: John Bradshaw

Technical Director of the ICS, John is a chartered marine engineer and Fellow of the IMarEST. He has specialist expertise in electricity generation including gas turbines, gaseous fuels, biomass and emissions abatement technologies and a Master's degree in emissions and emissions control. Currently, he is responsible for representing the interests of ship-owners at the IMO.
