Fly-Sail has now been rescheduled for 7-8 September 2019!
Fly-Sail 2019, the best fun weekend of the year, returns on 7th and 8th September 2019. Flyers take the non-flyers around the area and sailors take the non-sailors to sea. If you don't own a boat or plan it may be possible to accommodate you and we would welcome you getting in touch if you are interested in joining this event.
Here are some of the quotes from last year’s Fly-Sail participants:
“best weekend of my life”
“Never a dull moment”
“Make firm friends for the future”
Weather permitting, the format will follow the usual pattern of everyone meeting for lunch at Solent Airport by Saturday midday, with the non-flyers taken for flights during the afternoon. The evening sees drinks aboard a yacht followed by supper or a BBQ at Hornet Services Sailing Club. Flyers and other participants in Fly-Sail 2019 will be accommodated on the yachts overnight, and on Sunday morning they are shown the ropes at sea, followed by brunch (venue tbc). After brunch, all disperse for home.
Fly-Sail 2019 is open to all RIN members and guests, whether coming by sea, air or land; priority for flights will go to those who provide boats. There is no charge as such - arrivals simply pay normal landing or berthing charges and all pay-as-you-dine.
