Fly-Sail 2019, the best fun weekend of the year, returns on 29th and 30th June 2019 and is an open event for all RIN members. Ownership of a boat or plane is not necessary. Flyers take the non-flyers around the area and sailors take the non-sailors to sea.

Here are some of the quotes from last year’s Fly-Sail participants:

“best weekend of my life”
“Never a dull moment”
“Make firm friends for the future”

Weather permitting, the format will follow the usual pattern of everyone meeting for lunch at Solent Airport by Saturday midday, with the non-flyers taken for flights during the afternoon. The evening sees drinks aboard a yacht followed by supper or a BBQ at Hornet Services Sailing Club. Flyers and other participants in Fly-Sail 2019 will be accommodated on the yachts overnight, and on Sunday morning they are shown the ropes at sea, followed by brunch at Sea View Yacht Club. After brunch, all disperse for home.

All RIN members and personal guests, including families and youth members, are welcome to participate in Fly-Sail 2019, whether coming by sea, air or land; priority for flights will go to those who provide boats. There is no charge as such - arrivals simply pay normal landing or berthing charges and all pay-as-you-dine.
