ANDERSON MEMORIAL LECTURE - FLYING FOR LIFE

Tim Allen served as an RAF instructor and operational pilot, leading to military and then civil test flying. He was the senior military test pilot for the Sea Harrier and Harrier during the intensive trials in support of the Falklands War. Tim's talk is entitled "Flying for Life" and includes critiques of the various aircraft he has met. Wine will be available before the lecture from 1900.

FLYSAIL 2018

Weather permitting, the format will follow the usual pattern of flyers and sailors meeting for lunch at the airfield by Saturday midday, with the sailors taken for flights during the afternoon. The evening sees drinks aboard a yacht followed by supper or a BBQ at Hornet SSC. Flyers are accommodated on the yachts overnight, and on Sunday morning they are shown the ropes at sea. After lunch, all disperse for home.
