Waves of Navigation

RIN@75

Waves of Navigation marks the 75th anniversary of the Royal Institute of Navigation, charting its course since the Second World War. Showcasing highlights from its archival history, stories of key figures from its earliest days and a timeline of radio navigation, Waves of Navigation also looks forward, asking timely questions about global challenges and sustainability in the 21st century. From the outset the Institute has been outward-facing, collaborative and inclusive in its pursuit of navigational knowledge through a broad understanding of the practice and pursuit of navigation – both as an art and a science. Its mission has been to celebrate both navigational heritage as well as innovation and renewal, and re-definition.

More information and content about the exhibition including a video guided tour to follow at a later date.
