A great event packed with a range of interesting talks on various areas of navigation, definitely worth attending!
The GLAs’ Research and Development Directorate (GRAD) is a regular attendee at RIN events; however, the development of the INC from the first event in Manchester to the latest iteration in Bristol has shown that not all conferences need be the same. I find that the structure of the conference brings a fresh dimension. The longer key note speeches by World-leading experts at the beginning of every day let the lecturer really explore the subject matter, very much setting the scene for the rest of the day. The chance to then network, both at the conference and at the numerous social events, with these experts and other players in the field is a great opportunity offered by very few conferences. Even if you are not an expert in the field of the lecturer, the talks are always fascinating: of particular interest this year were the streams on cognitive navigation which made one really think about how this could be used in our current research themes… fascinating stuff. An event well worth attending and what could be better than holding the 2019 event in Edinburgh. Thoroughly recommended.
An interesting and varied conference on on all aspects of navigation. Some excellent talks and discussions on GNSS and its vulnerabilities.
