The RIN recently received details of a voluntary questionnaire from the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) which you may wish to consider completing (please note the deadline is the 6th July). Please see below the messaging form the MCA with associated documents. When you click on the links they start to download automatically and will be in your download folder.

I am writing to you to request for your help with a Post Implementation Review (P.I.R) the Maritime & Coastguard Agency are completing in order to fulfil its statutory duties.

As a close Working Group / Establishment with the MCA, we would appreciate your views on the Merchant Shipping (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping Convention) Regulations that were introduced in 2015. Further details can be found in the attached letter.

Please find attached:
- A letter outlining the requirement for this correspondence and the background to the Regulations in question;
- And, a questionnaire to be completed in order to aid our research and provide valuable information to ensure the regulations are fit for purpose and having the intended consequences.

If applicable, please may you distribute this request to any members, affiliates or client companies as you see fit to ensure the most extensive coverage.

If this email has been received and is not applicable to you / your department, it would be most appreciated if you could forward it on to the correct team / people / department to advise on.

Participation is optional and all responses will be confidential.
If you are willing to aide this process, please fill out the questionnaire document with any examples, figures and with as much detail as possible. We would appreciate any responses by 6th July 2020.

Many thanks in advance for your help and please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any clarification or further information.
