PNT is important for the UK economy, critical national infrastructure and wider society, with the potential to generate significant economic growth – but more evidence is needed to understand the barriers to PNT growth and to fully seize the opportunities PNT presents for our economy and society.

Join us for a day of two sessions whereby we’ll discuss the importance of autonomy and PNT resilience followed by a panel debate on ‘Economic challenges and opportunities for UK PNT suppliers and consumers’.

Please indicate if you would like to join only the afternoon session in "Attendee Selections" after you have completed filling out your registration information. Both sessions are free to attend.

Morning Session 1000 - 1200: Resilience & Inertial Autonomy

We’ll invite emerging startups and well-established UK PNT businesses to explore the latest challenges in the automotive and autonomy sectors, alongside the economic growth potential for PNT itself and the services that rely on it. Discussion will focus on the business case for PNT technologies in the autonomy market, examining both the opportunities and the risks that stem from their current capabilities and limitations. We'll look at where PNT is enabling success in autonomy, and where it’s still falling short.

Afternoon Session 1245 - 1700: PNT & Economic Growth

We’re hosting a panel on PNT and growth to spark debate on the various challenges and opportunities that exist for companies that sell or use PNT products and services. Our panel will explore the links between economic growth, resilience, and innovation.

More evidence is needed on the UK Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) market to develop policy interventions to drive PNT growth. On June 30, the National PNT Office launched a PNT Growth Call for Evidence to seek views on the UK PNT market and R&D landscape, and barriers to market entry, commercialisation and user adoption, to inform future policy. The National PNT Office is seeking responses from PNT businesses (selling or using PNT), PNT end users, PNT academics and researchers, member of a professional body or "catapult" relating to PNT, and members of the public with an interest in PNT.

This is a fantastic opportunity to have your say so please consider responding to the Call for Evidence (view here)
