Since 11 July, Galileo has been affected by a technical incident within its ground infrastructure.
This has led to a temporary interruption of Galileo initial navigation and timing services, with the exception of the Search and Rescue (SAR) service, which is unaffected and remains operational. Galileo has provided ‘initial services’ since December 2016.
A team is reported to be working to restore navigation services 'as soon as possible'. An Anomaly Review Board has been convened to analyse the root cause of the problem and to implement recovery actions.
Notices to Galileo Users (NAGU) have been published on the Galileo Service Centre website and will be updated regularly; these will include the service recovery date.
