Past-President Sir John Charnley died in October 2021 in his 99th year; his obituary is included in Member News.

To celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday, Sir John's daughter, Katrina, is placing his ashes with those of her mother. This will take place at St Cuthbert's Church, Edenhall, Cumbria, at 10.30 am on Saturday 3 September - the day before what would have been his 100th birthday.

Any members wishing to attend would be very welcome, and also to join informal refreshments afterwards at the Edenhall Hotel.
